I visited Seattle with Karen and Jessica in ’92. I was very much impressed by its coffee culture and the fitness addiction (all the joggers and the bikers) of the city despite the rain. I was quite surprised by the architecture, museums, galleries, aquarium, markets (flying fish) and the activities around the sound. I had decided to paint a picture of that beautiful city. I did make some watercolors there, but this is the one that solidified into the linearism later in the studio.
